Brookwood Parent Advisory Committee

 

 

Mi nombre es Yanina Bermudez, soy la trabajadora de enlace para las familias latinas y la comunidad. La escuela Primaria de Brookwood tiene creado un Comité Acesor de Padres ( PAC ) por sus siglas en Inglés,  el cual tiene como objetivo empoderar el involucramiento y  participación de los padres en la escuela.

PAC se reune una vez por mes, ya sea de manera virtual o en persona, donde se comparte información sobre eventos, talleres, se ofrecen diferentes recursos a la comunidad para ayudar a suplir sus necesidades, tales como ropa, comida, higiene, internet, referencias para obtener ayuda con el servicio de seguro médico, entre otros. 

Durante las reuniones de PAC, los padres tienen la oportunidad de expresar sus inquietudes, necesidades, temas de interés a tratar, y lo  mas importante, que sus voces sean escuchadas. Puede encontrar las fechas de las reuniones en el calendario de la escuela o dando click aquí

My name is Yanina Bermudez, the liaison for Latino families at our school. Brookwood Elementary School has created a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)  that aims to empower the engagement and participation of parents at school.

 

PAC meets once a month, either virtually or in person, where information is shared about events, workshops, and different resources to help meet needs for  clothing, food, hygiene items, internet, referrals for help with health insurance service, and more.

During PAC meetings, parents have the opportunity to express their concerns, needs, and have their voices heard. Also, a topic of interest will be discussed. Meeting dates can be found on the school calendar or by clicking here.

Voluntarios/ Volunteers
Cualquier persona que desee ser voluntario en cualquier momento (los eventos, paseos, en las aulas, etc ..) durante el año escolar tiene que aplicar a través del distrito escolar. Ir a: hsd.k12.or.us/volunteer para llenar la solicitud. Hazlo ahora, ¡para cuando surja la necesidad estarás listo!

Anyone wishing to volunteer (events, field trips, in the classrooms, etc.) during the school year needs to apply through the school district.  Go to hsd.k12.or.us/volunteer to fill out the application.  Do it now, so when the need arises you'll be ready!
